Stovekraft Launches Heavy-Duty Electric Cooktops for Commercial Kitchens Accelerating India’s Transition to Energy Efficient Cooking

Stovekraft Launches Heavy-Duty Electric Cooktops for Commercial Kitchens Accelerating India’s Transition to Energy Efficient Cooking

Bengaluru, 14th July 2026: India’s commercial kitchens are increasingly embracing electric cooking as businesses look to mitigating rising fuel costs, improve efficiency and reduce dependence on conventional energy sources. Tapping into this growing opportunity, Stovekraft Limited, one of India’s leading cookware and kitchen  appliances company has launched the Pigeon ENDURO and Pigeon EGNITE Heavy-Duty Induction and Infrared Cooktops respectively, designed specifically to help small restaurants, dharshinis, caterers and institutional kitchens to significantly reduce their monthly cooking costs.

For restaurants operating multiple burners, the cumulative monthly savings can substantially improve operating margins while reducing dependence on conventional fuels. The launch aligns with Stovekraft’s broader vision of accelerating the transition towards smarter, energy-efficient commercial kitchens.

Gas-to-Grid initiative

Building on its growing portfolio of electric kitchen appliances, including air fryers and induction cooktops, Stovekraft is now extending its expertise to commercial kitchens. The launch also comes as the company significantly ramps up induction cooktop production following recent energy disruptions and the growing shift towards electric cooking, making it India’s largest induction cooktop manufacturer. Through this expansion and its broader Gas-to-Grid initiative, Stovekraft aims to support India’s transition towards energy-efficient cooking while reducing dependence on traditional fuels.

Commenting on the launch, Rajendra Gandhi, Managing Director, Stovekraft Limited, said: “Commercial kitchens today require solutions that offer both efficiency and energy security. The recent LPG supply disruptions highlighted the importance of diversifying energy sources rather than relying entirely on gas. Our new heavy-duty electric cooktops have been designed to help businesses reduce operating costs while ensuring uninterrupted cooking. We believe the future of professional kitchens lies in a balanced Gas to Grid approach, where electricity becomes an integral part of everyday operations.”

Product Feature

Built specifically for high-volume commercial operations, the new cooktops feature a 3,500W heating capacity, support cookware weighing up to 20 kg, enable over three hours of  continuous cooking, and are compatible with standard single-phase electrical connections. While the ENDURO 3500 uses induction technology for energy-efficient cooking, the EGNITE 3500 infrared cooktop works with virtually all cookware, allowing commercial kitchens to transition to electric cooking without replacing their existing utensils. According to Stovekraft’s internal estimates, businesses can save up to ₹23,000 per month per cooktop, depending on usage patterns and electricity tariffs, enabling them to recover the investment in less than a month.

Market Outlook

The launch comes at a time when the induction cooktop market in India is witnessing strong growth, driven by rising awareness of energy-efficient cooking, evolving consumer preferences and the increasing shift towards electric cooking solutions. As the hospitality industry continues to expand, commercial kitchens are increasingly viewing induction cooktops not just as a reliable alternative during LPG disruptions, but as a long-term solution to improve operational efficiency, optimise operating costs and build more resilient kitchen operations.

The launch further strengthens Stovekraft’s presence in the electric cooking segment, reflecting the company’s continued focus on developing innovative, energy-efficient solutions that address the evolving needs of India’s cooking ecosystem and support the transition towards more resilient commercial kitchens.
